Description
Formerly blender-mcp; the PyPI package is now mcp-for-blender (uvx blender-mcp still works). A one-line installer (or uvx mcp-for-blender setup) installs uv, detects MCP clients (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Devin Desktop/Windsurf, OpenCode, Antigravity), adds a blender entry (backing up configs) and installs/enables the Blender add-on, which starts a socket server inside Blender when it opens. Lets agents do prompt-driven modeling, scene creation and manipulation. Third-party: not made by the Blender Foundation. By default the execute_blender_code tool can run any Python in your live Blender; set BLENDER_MCP_SAFE_MODE=1 to screen scripts and block risky code.
