Description
Ships strong defaults but deliberately skips sub-agents and plan mode: add them via extensions or packages. Run it interactively, in print/JSON mode, over RPC, or embed it with the Pi TypeScript SDK. The monorepo also contains pi-ai (multi-provider LLM API), pi-agent-core, pi-tui and pi-durable. Install with curl -fsSL https://pi.dev/install.sh | sh or npm install -g --ignore-scripts @earendil-works/pi-coding-agent (Node.js 22.19+).
No built-in permission system: Pi runs with the launching user's permissions; the docs describe containerizing it (Gondolin micro-VM extension, Docker or OpenShell).
