Description
Tools: get-schema (labels, relationship types, property keys), read-cypher (read-only queries, enforced via EXPLAIN and Neo4j's query-type classification), write-cypher (disabled when NEO4J_MCP_READ_ONLY=true) and list-gds-procedures. Install with pip install neo4j-mcp-server or a release binary/Docker image; configure via NEO4J_MCP_* env vars (the older NEO4J_* names are deprecated since v1.6.0). Supports HTTP transport with authentication as well as stdio; docs cover Aura setup. Latest v1.6.1. This is Neo4j's official server; the earlier Neo4j Labs servers live in neo4j-contrib/mcp-neo4j (MIT).
