Description

Unlike wrappers around kubectl, it calls the Kubernetes API server directly and ships as a single binary for Linux, macOS and Windows, plus npm (npx kubernetes-mcp-server@latest), PyPI (uvx) and container images. Works across multiple clusters from your kubeconfig or in-cluster config. Runtime settings are TOML: read_only = true only exposes tools annotated read-only, disable_destructive = true removes delete/update tools, toolsets (default core, config) adds Helm, Kiali, KubeVirt, Tekton and more, and setting port serves Streamable HTTP at /mcp (with optional OAuth). For production the README points to a setup guide with a dedicated read-only ServiceAccount.
