Serena
MCP toolkit that gives coding agents IDE-like semantic code retrieval, editing, refactoring and debugging at the symbol level, backed by language servers (40+ languages) or JetBrains.

Description
Works with any MCP client or LLM. The default backend uses Language Server Protocol servers via its SolidLSP layer; an alternative paid Serena JetBrains Plugin (free trial) uses the IDE's code analysis. Serena v2 adds a REPL/code-execution based agent interface. Licensing is per component: the Serena application is GPL-3.0-or-later, SolidLSP is MIT.
