Shipped with SeekStorm v3.4 (October 2026). Runs as a child process over MCP stdio, owns its local index at `SEEKSTORM_INDEX_PATH` (created with a default title/body/path schema if missing, or from a `CreateIndexRequest` JSON in `SEEKSTORM_INDEX_CONFIG`), and needs no separate `seekstorm_server` or network. Tools cover index management, document indexing/updating/deletion, JSON/NDJSON ingestion, PDF indexing, and lexical, vector and hybrid search with filters, facets, sorting and highlighting. Embedded mode only: it does not connect to a remote SeekStorm server. Install with `cargo` (crate `seekstorm_mcp_server`) or build from the workspace.
