Description
Combine a visual canvas with JavaScript/Python code, self-host (Docker: docker run -it --rm -p 5678:5678 docker.n8n.io/n8nio/n8n) or use n8n Cloud. AI features include agents with tools, memory and LLM providers; the MCP Client node lets workflows call MCP servers, the MCP Server Trigger node exposes a workflow as an MCP server, and the built-in instance-level MCP server lets Claude, Codex and other clients search, run, create and edit workflows (create/edit from n8n 2.13) and manage data tables. Latest release n8n@2.45.4 (2026-10-26).
License: Sustainable Use License (fair-code, not OSI open source); files with .ee. in the name need an n8n Enterprise License. GitHub reports it as NOASSERTION.
